Fun News update

Here's a fun quote from Wesley about his drawing during scripture study tonight: "This is a picture of Laban in the afterlife: He turned into a butterfly!"

Alaina Loves to play Mom and brother, with her as the mom, and Me (Varden) or whoever will volunteer as the brother. Today we played a little--but my favorite times are when we play night-time, and she's willing to snuggle with me. She has very specific guideance on snuggling--we put our faces together till they're almost touching, and she puts both hands on both of my cheeks. It's absolutely darling!

Another highlight is holding Timothy and rocking him to sleep. He's as cute as can be--and he can now walk quite well.

I wanted to draw a cool picture for adam, and I decided to draw a cartoon, and I found this funny one, It's called, "Out of the Frying Pan," and there is a caveman running away from a monster and it just has a big foot. I liked this because there is a caveman and he doesn't even know where he's going. It's kind of cool.

House project

Right after Thanksgiving, Becky finally decided we need a pantry more than we needed the shower by our back door.

Here are Alaina's comments about watching the project the past few months:

"And you taked off the wood of this, and you take off the wood of this and this, and you take off the wood of—what else did you take off? That’s all. "

We're just about ready to paint, so it will be nice to post some after pictures as well.

"While we were resting" during the shower project, we figured we might as well go ahead and add a light fixture and redo the electrical in the bathroom so the switch would be closer to the door instead on the other side of the counter. So we did--that's why we ripped out the whole other wall of sheetrock in the bathroom.

Christmas Hunt

Here are Jeremy's thoughts about our Christmas holiday. "Timothy was really cute and he opened a present. There were a few presents under the tree, and they were all churchy-ones and they were all personal.

So we ate breakfast, and in our stockings we got pocketknives, and mom got a hammer on hers and dad got a tool. Mom got a bunch of new cereals and we found one of our clues in the diswhasher. And then after that we went caroling and we found a jackpot after that. We got a new swing, and I got a gigantic pirate ship, and Alaina got a little dolly house, and Wesley got a fire station, and Robert got an art kit."

And Alaina got a bunch of kitchen set--like this pizza set and a bunch of new baskets.

And after that, I was crazy about taking something apart, and I wrote a letter to Adam about being a mad scientist and taking apart a car radio. We got it from D.I. My favorite things on it were the teeny tiny batteries (capacitors)."

The treasure hunt again was a highlight--even though Mom and Dad were sure tired on Christmas day!
