Timothy Turns 1

I just noticed we never posted anything from Timothy's Birthday, Feb. 19. He's as cute as can be--had plenty of help with the presents, of course.

Robert Piano Festival

Robert earned another Superior in his piano festival this week. He did a great job. This time, they wouldn't let us take pictures or video tape the actual activity. Can't imagine why, but we complied.

Alaina quote

Here's one from a few days ago when Becky and I and Alaina were snuggling in bed. Becky asked her, "Alaina, where did you get all your beauty from?"

Dad: "Right here, from Becky."

Becky: "No, they came from heaven."

Alaina: "No, I got them from Africa!"

I have no idea where all that came from--except her brother Jeremy who loves animals from Africa.

New suits

Becky found some new suits for all 4 boys this week! We enjoyed wearing them to Becky's uncle Earnest and Dorothy Ahlborn's talk in church as they returned from their mission in Eastern Europe this week.

Holiday Sledding

Today we went to Ogden to a cabin that Harold Zentz' school district owns. It was a lot of fun playing in the snow that was at least 6 feet deep in most places--higher than that quite often.

My favorite part was sledding down the road that led from the parking lot to the cabin. I don't know how long it was, but it took at least 15 minutes or so to hike up. No cars were allowed on this section, so we could just sail down the road! I can't ever remember going that fast on a sled, so we did it several times. I went with Wesley all the way down several times, then with Jeremy and his cousin Natlalie Merrell several times.

Sometimes as we slid down at incredible speed, we'd pass people walking down the road. Then, as we hiked back up, they'd make comments. Here are a few of my favorites:

"Wow! You guys were really cooking!"

"You must have hit your head on something hard to want to keep trying to do that!"

I sure wish we had some pictures--or a video of me holding the camera as we sailed down. But, we don't.

Anyway, it was a fun time, and we enjoyed having a good time playing in the snow after shoveling so much of it this year. I don't think we've seen grass in our front yard since early December! It still has almost a foot on it, and it hasn't snowed in about a week.

Holiday Nap!

I absolutely love snuggling with Alaina, Timothy, and Wesley.  They're darling!
